Welcome

NOTE: This site is still UNDER CONSTRUCTION.  We have a new look and will soon be adding many new pages.  Thank you for your patience.

our Doma Vaquera pages are growing as interest in bringing this European sport to North America grows.

Are America's Wild Horses Really Wild?  Click HERE for article published in June 2006 Equestrian News & the Congressional Testimony it was based on.

The rider at right is "dragging" la garrocha, a herding tool still used in Old Spain, which was also employed in different ways in the New World, including here in California.

In Memorium - Luis Jimenez 1940 - 2006    STORY

# # #

In Memorium:  Vine Deloria, Jr.  Deloria, a Standing Rock Sioux who burst into the American consciousness in 1969 with his book ''Custer Died for Your Sins'' and later amplified his message through 20 more books about the Native American experience, died on Sunday, 11/13/05, at age 72.   Ho, mitakuye oyasin.

In Memorium:  Chris LeDoux  1948 - 2005  "I learned a thing that I'd never knowed, from this guy who'd been beaten so bad.  It's better to ride, even if you get throwed, than to wind up just wishing you had.... Life is just like riding broncs, it's a battle... But I'd gladly take ten seconds in the saddle, for a lifetime of watching from the stands."       by Chris LeDoux
