NOTE - the Vaquero Heritage Foundation is not affiliated with the CMSA.
The information below is provided as an informational service, as some of our members have been members of the CMSA, too. When our members participate in CMSA events, they do so under their own names and their own CMSA membership. They do not represent the VHF when they participate in CMSA events.
The VHF does not promote mounted shooting, nor does the VHF produce mounted shooting events.
That said, here's some information about the...

Mounted Shooting is exactly what it sounds -- a competitive timed sport, galloping a horse through an obstacle course while shooting at balloon targets (with black-powder blanks). It doesn't get more fun than this!
Vaquera and her arabian gelding Sunny have been competing since 2001, when Deb joined the California Desperados. Deb & Sunny have competed in California, Nevada and Arizona, won a half dozen silver buckles, made dozens of wonderful new friends... and had a terrific fun time.
